Planting the Seeds of Kindness in Our Community

“#GivingTuesday harnesses the generosity of millions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live. We believe the movement will become the first global day of giving and a year-round platform for strengthening civil society.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following U.S. Thanksgiving, and fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, GivingTuesday inspires millions of people across the globe to show up and give back to causes and issues that matter to them. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.”

To encourage the gift of giving,

I will donate one free 45 minute lesson

to the person of your choice.*

Now through December 3, 2019,

for either of the following:

  1. Donation of $100 to a charity listed below.**

  2. Volunteer a minimum of 1.5 hours at a local soup kitchen, animal shelter, crisis nursery or retirement home. ***

Miriam School

Learning disabilities know no boundaries and the more than 1,200 students served each year by Miriam reside in nearly 100 different zip codes within a 70-mile radius of St. Louis. Miriam is committed to making our programs accessible to all children who can benefit from our specialized services.

Miriam annually provides more than $1,000,000 in need-based tuition assistance to more than half of the families we serve. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization we rely on the generous financial support of individuals, foundations, and corporations to help provide our specialized programming. Contact the Miriam Development Office at 314.962.6059 for more information about the following ways to give.

Support Miriam School

* Must not be a current student of the studio, but may be a family member or friend. The person of your choice will receive a voucher for a 45 minute lesson which must be used by March 15, 2020.

** The list of charities have been chosen by the families in the studio. If you’re a student and don’t see your charity listed here, please let me know a.s.a.p.! Proof of donation is required. (i.e. the tax deductible contribution letter)

*** Since the goal is to get more people out in the community volunteering, proof of volunteer hours is required. If a person would like to volunteer for multiple vouchers, they may do so, provided each voucher is used by a different person. Volunteer hours may not be counted as service hours for school or any other organization. Volunteering must be for an organization outside of school.

My #GivingTuesday goal is to give away 100 lessons by raising some combination of $10,000/150 hours of community service.
