Spring is upon us: snow has been replaced by rain and my garden is going through its yearly journey from purple crocuses to yellow daffodils and pink, purple, and white crocuses. The magnolia tree is ready to burst with pink and white flowers and soon after come the purple ajuga and double bearded irises. What does this mean for music teachers everywhere? Spring Recitals, of course! What is even more exciting than the “Pretty Flowers in the Garden” (which we sang and played in the Pre-Twinkle Violin Group last week) is that I ventured off the beaten path on my ride to the store and stumbled quite fortuitously upon a venue which is welcoming, beautiful, and has not only an upright piano, but also a stage with a baby grand!
More details soon to follow!
